Sometimes young people need to talk to someone who isn't a teacher. This is where our chaplain shines. Chaplaincy is a vital part of Alkimos Baptist College, where students can receive welfare support beyond that from the form teacher, year coordinator and administration team. Through one-on-one discussions, group activities and a range of programs, the chaplain at Alkimos Baptist College is well trained and equipped to help and support all our students.
A key element of our philosophy with chaplaincy is to help support our families by empowering the family to seek help and provide support for their child. Our vision is to empower families with information that will support and build up the young person for long-term mental, emotional and physical health.
The Alkimos Baptist College Chaplaincy Service is funded by the National Chaplaincy and Student Welfare programme in conjunction with the College Board.
